Fuerteventura is only 100km in length from top to toe and is a just over thirty kilometres wide, yet the island is divided into six municipalities, which contain 152 beaches, which are composed of over fifty kilometres of fine white sand beaches and just over twenty five kilometres of black volcanic shingle beaches.
